Hi! My name is Mackenzie and I am a lifestyle blogger! I started blogging about 2 years ago and it has been such a fun adventure. My biggest passions are self-care and personal growth, which are topics I focus on heavily on my blog and Instagram. To me, a life worth living is one where you put yourself first and take care of business while taking care of yourself. My biggest goal in life is simply to be happy. In my personal life, success is measured by happiness more than achievements in school or work. If you’re a CEO but you’re unhappy, are you truly successful? Taking time for yourself and making sure that you are happy and content with your life is so important, which is where practicing self-care comes in!
Self-care has been something I’ve developed a passion for lately. Over time I’ve learned that self-care is so much more than just doing a face mask and painting your nails at a spa night. It’s taking care of your needs both mentally and physiologically. Self-care is such an important part of life and something we all should be practicing every day. Here are some ideas of what self-care can look like:
1. Getting outside for a walk to get your heart rate up and give your eyes a break from
looking at a computer screen
2. Making a healthy, balanced meal
3. Having a deep conversation with a loved one
4. Saying no and setting boundaries
5. Saying yes to an opportunity you’ve always wanted
6. Watching your favorite movie or an episode of your favorite show
7. Doing some yoga or meditation
8. Taking a nap with a cozy blanket
9. Grabbing coffee with a friend you haven’t seen in a while
10. Baking a yummy treat
Practicing self-care is all about letting yourself take a break from the busyness of life to do something that will help you recharge and reset. There are plenty of ways you can practice self-care which is why it’s so awesome! Find what works best for you and get into a solid routine of taking care of yourself every day. Even if you do just one thing for 5 minutes, you will feel somuch better and it will help improve your mindset and life so much. Self-care isn’t selfish. It’s a necessity. How will you be practicing self-care today?
I hope you enjoyed these tips! If you want to see more from me, you can find me
