To the girl who’s suffered at the hands of another 🙏🏼 Anger can consume us if we let it. Sadness can consume us if we let it. Happiness can consume us if we choose it💕 I wrote this after a tumultuous relationship that ended with me being cheated on.
Sometimes we hold on on for too long, when our gut said something wasn’t right. 💕 Reclaiming the power to forgive, move on, and find peace in the possibilities that await me has been so so powerful. By eliminating the POWER that another person holds over us, leads us to (sometimes slowly) figure out WHO'S approval, WHO'S forgiveness, and WHO'S love we we have been craving all along. It is that of ourselves 💕
To you, I hope you find peace 💕
How can I forgive you for what’s already been done? The child in me wants you to suffer, but what good will that do for my soul. The hurt you inflicted I will carry on with me, but like a piece of coal pummeled, I will shine once again. I’m hateful. But I will make room to forgive you. I’m hateful. But I will forgive myself. I forgive this world for being cruel. I trust in my triumph. I won’t hurt anymore because That Is My Choice. These tears are my fuel. This forgiveness is my open door. And now it’s time for me to run.
