I have always been an artistic person. I was in art classes all throughout my years in school. And, my sister and I were always doing DIY projects. Art had always been my hobby, but as I grew older I knew I wanted to start my own business with my art somehow. I have always wanted to do digital lettering and have always been fascinated with digital art. In April of 2020 I finally got an iPad and Apple Pencil! Being stuck at home gave me the time to practice. I used my old lettering Instagram account to start posting my digital work. Not long after that I started making stickers to sell on my Etsy Shop.
I am still working to find my personal ‘style’ and building my personal brand. But, I think I have come a long way from where I started which is only four months. I’m excited to see what will become of my little business.
My advice to anyone wanting to start a digital art Instagram or business would be to just start! There are always a million reasons why not to start anything, so just start with what you have and you will slowly grow!
